Hello! Sorry (again) for not posting anything for so long. I have limited free time and energy each day, and currently I’m busy working on the 12-24 campaign. Hopefully you’ve all heard about the campaign by now, if not then I haven’t been doing my job very well! The 12-24 campaign is raising money to research the benefits of nutrition on hypermobile EDS (hEDS), which could improve the quality of life of the millions of people who struggle with hEDS everyday. So it’s a great project to be involved with, but unfortunately updating my blog has had to take a back seat for a while. I regularly post on Instagram which is much quicker.
Unsurprisingly this post relates to the 12-24 campaign… One of my recent tasks was to edit some adverts for ‘The Big Bum-ble’ sponsored walk, to try to recruit some team members and sponsors. The walk takes place on the 30th June in Regent’s Park. It’s a non competitive event, aiming to get people more active and to raise money for good causes. If you’re interested in joining the 12-24 team please email me at [email protected], or if you’d like to sponsor the team please click HERE. Currently they’ve raised £425 towards a target of £500!
That’s all for now, sorry. I’ll try to post on here more often, but I always seem to be busy with 12-24 and now the World Cup has started too!
Thanks for reading, Ceri.
UPDATE: Four volunteers came forward, Dr Kate Barnes, Julia Tognarelli, Sarah Stuart and Becca Hamway. They joined Professor Qasim Aziz and Lisa Jamieson in the EDS UK team. Together they raised an amazing £4430! Our original target was just £500. It’s a fantastic total and we’re very grateful for their efforts fundraising and on the day. Thank you.
